This game makes warmth the most important thing for the world and the hero. You are a blob so you do have some limitations in terms of what you can do and what you can take. The snow and ice can be very fickle so you need to navigate it while keeping your heat in mind. If you can do that, then you should be able to solve a lot of the platforming puzzles that are frozen before you.
