Zombies have lost a lot of the factors that made them scary but they can still be a threat when there are lots of them in closed spaces. Since this game is trapping you in a maze, it looks like the undead have the field advantage. Your only concern is to escape so bashing heads in should only be a last resort considering how vulnerable and not-a-trained-soldier you are. Still, you need to be resourceful and take risks if you hope to make it to the exit in one piece. You are just a human and all a zombie needs is a nice bite to quickly change your status.
